Road Safety Auditor Accreditation (RSA)

To become a Road Safety Auditor you shall:

  • Have a minimum of two years’ recent crash investigation or road safety engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of current practice in road design or traffic engineering principles.
  • Have been an Audit Team Member or Audit Team Trainee on at least two road safety audits led by an accredited Senior Road Safety Auditor within the previous two years. Audits must be either: Feasibility, Preliminary Design, Detailed Design or Pre/Post opening stage audits.
  • Have successfully completed the WA Road Safety Engineering – Treatment of Crash Locations training course, or a recognised equivalent Australian / New Zealand training course within the previous five years.
  • Have successfully completed the WA Road Safety Audit training course, or a recognised equivalent Australian / New Zealand training course within the previous five years.
